The Skyhouse Alteration

The Brief

This tired two story rental needed a complete renovation to become a fresh family home. Better use of rooms was needed to create dedicated living zones and storage, and the kitchen and bathrooms required a complete renovation. The elevated home has an extensive view of the ocean that needed new decking to allow for outdoor entertaining.  

How we elevated the home

The renovation included a new open plan kitchen on the upper level that connects the dining and living spaces. A wide, expansive lounge takes full advantage of the exceptional 180 degree sea views and the outdoor living space. Two sheltered outdoor spaces include an outdoor kitchen, flat grass play area, louvertech covered dining space and wrap-around decking throughout. The downstairs bathrooms are now modern and bright featuring contemporary designs. Inside, the master bedroom wing includes a full size glass wall in the ensuite shower to enjoy the breath-taking views. A large, open wardrobe was also added which could double as a study. This home truly is a complete transformation for the family to enjoy for years to come.
